Our country is a mosaik of different cultures, our planet is a mosaik of humanity. In a world where differences are often the only thing we have in common, we share by reflecting. By looking within and seeing what the mirror tells us is the same – no matter who we are.

Our retreat is named KIASOMA - for the words A MOSAIK read as KIASOM A when the letters are reversed.

KIASOMA is a place of reflection. It’s a three star retreat where the world-weary can find respite. It is a bushveld lodge where you can simply rest if that is all you require to revive, it’s a bush spa where you can partake in a range of activities to restore your soul. And when you return to the daily pace of your everyday life, the time spent at Kiasoma will encourage your heart to once more see the beauty in people and the world around you.

Our venue is a unique fusion of African-Moroccan design, which will tantalize the taste buds of any interior fundi, and leave you wanting to experience more.

We offer art and healing weekends, and we will structure the weekend to suit each individual. If there is a specific art form that you would like to learn not listed on the website, please enquire, as it may not be offered at the moment due to lack of demand.

Should you not want to experience any of the healing modalities or art lessons, you are welcome to just come and stay in our self-catering or bed and breakfast cottages, and just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility on your doorstep.

KIASOMA is a place of rest and healing. Some rest by simply taking the time to do nothing – others who feel restless, may need to restore calm in their inner world by filling time with activities they have neglected.

STONE COTTAGE

Whether you need to rest from activities you have recently begun or whether you require rest because your lifestyle is a little too full, STONE COTTAGE is a place of genuine comfort..

SUN AND MOON COTTAGE

KIASOMA is as much about the daytime of the soul as it is about the night. There is a time for both. Yin and Yang. Sun and Moon. The SUN AND MOON COTTAGE is a place from which you may view both the sunset and the moon rise from the opposite windows of the building.

THE BUSH CAMP BOMA

KIASOMA is also a place that understands the essential need to return to basics and connect with our roots. The BUSH CAMP BOMA provides an authentic African experience with enough creature comforts to make your more civilised nature feel at ease.

THE TEEPEE VILLAGE

As a place that believes in the value of cross-cultural learning, KIASOMA believes in offering accommodation facilities such as the TEEPEE VILLAGE. This camp of Native American Indian tents is a chance to transcend cultural barriers and experience a different lifestyle - and perhaps even connect with the spirit of ancient ancestors.

THE STABLES

The Stables consist of self-catering en-suite double rooms with a communal kitchen and offers one the opportunity to see the sunset from the patio. Meals can be catered for on request.
